Turkey: 'Hey Trump, what are you trying to do?' - Erdogan lambasts Jerusalem declaration

SOT, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey (Turkish): "Hey Trump, what are you trying to do? What kind of approach is this? Political leaders do not exist to stir up the trouble but they exist to create peace. Right now these statements of Trump are like a blender, he is aiming to stir things up, not to put together. No offence but we will get all the leaders of the members countries of IOC as the chairman of the organisation, in Istanbul. I am also contacting them by phone."

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan denounced US President Donald Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the Israeli capital city, speaking in Ankara on Thursday.

"Hey Trump, what are you trying to do? What kind of approach is this? Political leaders do not exist to stir up the trouble but they exist to create peace," said Erdogan.

US President Donald Trump recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel on Wednesday in a live televised address from Washington D.C. and started the process of moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv.
